Understanding the challenge
Mibanco, the main micro finance player in Peru, was in the look for setting up the foundations for their innovation capabilities, and within that they needed help on understanding where the opportunities laid, what to prioritize it and how to tackle it.
Framing the approach
Through a very thorough ethnographic research on micro entrepreneurs that forge Lima’s economical clusters, we aligned, mapped and frame a completely new relationship model that could enable more sustainable, transparent, prosper and long-lasting engagements with their future customers. We helped them interiorize it, elevate learnings, map current gaps and draft a product roadmap on what needed to be done in order to overhaul their current operations to make them more customer-centric.
Being the first innovation project the company embarked in, my team and I framed is as a learning by doing experience where the newly appointed innovation team could shadow us, get training and first hand experience of methodologies and process.

The project served as foundations for the organization to open Transformation + Innovation initiatives and capabiltiies that needed to be set up in place in order to support the long-term strategy
